The government intends to establish a quarantine regime from September 11, the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Rafik Grigoryan stated this in the parliament, answering the question of "Bright Armenia" faction leader Edmon Marukyan.
"If the legislative package is adopted and enters into force by September 11, the government, yes, intends to establish a quarantine regime and continue the fight against the epidemic, because it is not over", said the deputy minister.
Edmon Marukyan also inquired whether the quarantine regime could be worse than the state of emergency.
"The issue is, this legislative package envisages such a limited opportunity for restrictions on rights and the application of measures that can never be confused with a state of emergency. In some cases there are opportunities to ensure security rules, but the tools of the state of emergency are much wider", Rafik Grigoryan said.
