We received a lot of inquiries during this period, which were mainly related to the restrictions applied in the fight against the new type of coronavirus, in particular, the restrictions on entry and exit.
Spokeswoman for the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Anna Naghdalyan stated this at today's press conference.
"In this regard, our clarification, which has given rise to conflicting comments, is that the decision of the Armenian government on declaring a state of emergency has only prevented our citizens from exiting and foreigners from entering - crossing the land border.
"For our citizens entry and exit (by air border) barriers do not exist at the moment, and in case of leaving Armenia, the restrictions are already connected with the coronavirus state in that country or the status of the person leaving that country", Naghdalyan explained, emphasizing that those conditions change quite often and are constantly updated.
Touching upon the issue of communication with Russia, the Foreign Ministry official said that Armenia has unilaterally opened its air borders, and now negotiations are underway with Russian partners to obtain a Russian entry permit. There are currently limitations due to the new coronavirus.
