The representatives of the Red Cross have not yet visited Gurgen Alaverdyan, an Armenian officer who appeared in Azerbaijai territory and was captured on August 22 as a result of
getting lost. The RA Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan stated this today.
She noted that work is being carried out with the Baku office of the Red Cross to organize the visit of their representatives.
The Foreign Ministry official did not provide further details, "given the sensitivity of the issue".
