The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Knowledge and Schooling Day.
The message particularly says:
"Dear pupils, students,
Dear educators and parents,
Congratulations on Knowledge and Schooling Day.
The situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic in the country today does not allow to visit school on this memorable day. Unfortunately, the first graders also have to spend September 1 without entering an educational institution.
However, analyzing the development of the pandemic, we decided to open the schools in just a few days and ensure the learning process by observing the anti-epidemic rules.
At the same time, I am glad that from September 1, the universities start their activities partially, and the freshmen enter a new stage of life to supplement and enrich their specific professional knowledge.
I would like to thank all the educators for mastering the distance learning tools and implementing them at a high level in the previous academic year.
Dear pupils and students,
As I mentioned, due to the pandemic, anti-epidemic rules must be strictly observed this school year, preventing schools from becoming a source of infection, which will allow the educational process to be carried out in a normal way. I am sure that as a result of consistent steps we will overcome together also this difficulty .
In the Day of Knowledge and Schooling begins the journey of each of us to the great future, to the realization of the mission to make the world a better place. And I want to congratulate all the pupils, students and teachers of the republic once again on this Holiday.
The Government of Armenia has repeatedly spoken about the imperative of having a knowledge-based economy and bringing the quality of education to a new level. The development of the education system has an unchangeable place among our priorities. We believe that economic and political growth in the country is not possible without deep educational reforms, and those reforms are not possible without public participation.
Only in this way can we give a sharp boost to the economy, train harmonious and competitive personnel for the labor market and improve the quality of life. The issue of connecting educational institutions to the labor market is a significant challenge for us, and we have a lot to do in this direction. For our society, the teacher, the scientist, should be a source of inspiration, be pioneers who bring innovations in their district, village, city.
I am convinced that we can achieve the education of our dreams. Something that in its turn will give an opportunity to achieve the declared strategic goals of the Republic of Armenia.
Dear pupils and students,
From the doors of any educational institution we must learn to change the world, to change our country, to change our village, to change our way of life for the better and more innovative as a result of new knowledge. This is the mission of all of us, on the way of which we must overcome all the challenges together and move forward.
Dears, walk confidently in the new path of life for the benefit of you, your parents, the progress of our people and state”.
