Rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been on duty since August 27 near the building that collapsed due to a gas leak at the Rainis Street in Yerevan.
To remind - In the morning of August 26 an alarm was received that an explosion had taken place at the adress of 3 Rainis Street, Yerevan, due to a gas leak, the building had partially collapsed.
As a result of search and rescue operations 2 injured citizens were taken out of the rubble and hospitalized in "Heratsi" N1 MC. The doctors assessed the health condition of one of the victims as moderate, and the other (Edgar M., born in 1979) as extremely severe.
After about 5 hours of rescue operations, the body of Arthur Gh. (born in 1962) was pulled out of the rubble.
Today, on August 29, information has been received from "Heratsi" N1 hospital complex that Edgar M., who was in an extremely serious condition, died. Thus, the number of dead as a result of the explosion is 2, one is injured.
