Armenia's economic activity index decreased by 5.7% in the first 7 months of this year. 1lurer.am was informed about this by the RA Statistical Committee. The main declines were in construction, trade, services and foreign trade.
In January-July of 2020 the decline in the construction sector was 22.6%. The volume of services (excluding trade) decreased by 9.3%, and the turnover of trade - by 11%. The volume of foreign trade turnover in 2020 In 7 months, compared to the same period of the previous year, it decreased by 11.3%. Exports decreased by 6.4% and imports by 13.7%.
During the observed period, the volume of industrial production increased by 1.3%. The average monthly nominal salary increased by 5%.
Note that despite there has been a decline for 7 months, but the monthly figures, on the contrary, indicate the pace of economic recovery. In particular, compared to June, the economic activity index in July increased by 9.7%, the volume of industrial production - by 1.4%, construction - by 10.8%, trade turnover - by 17%, foreign trade - by 2.4%, including exports by 1.5%, imports - by 2.9%. percent.
