The RA Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan published a video and made a post on his Facebook page, in which he stated that at the moment the forested area of the Republic of Armenia is 332,332 hectares, which is 11․1% of the total area of the country.
"Sustainable forest management, protection, restoration, ensuring afforestation and efficient use of resources are the priorities for the Ministry of Environment and are extremely important for the diversification and development of our country's economy.
Forest is a vital component of the environment that needs special treatment", the minister said in a statement.
