Today is the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Armenian Declaration of Independence. On August 23, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia adopted the 12-point Declaration of Independence, which marked the beginning of the process of Armenia's independence.
It was a basic legal document on the way to independence, which outlined the ways of Armenia's political, economic and cultural development.
