By the Presidential Decree of August 18, 2020, mediated by the Prime Minister, Captain Ruben Sanamyan was awarded the Order of the Homeland - the highest title of National Hero of Armenia. Captain Sanamyan, as an officer and commander, showed exceptional courage and self-sacrifice in ensuring the defense and security of the homeland.
By the same decree of the President of the Republic, another 199 servicemen of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia were awarded state awards of the Republic of Armenia for their selflessness, courage and skill in defending the borders of the homeland.
To remind - On August 14 the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan informed that he had signed a petition addressed to the President of the Republic to award the active actors of the victorious battles of Tavush with the "Combat Cross" order of the first and second degrees, as well as to award Captain Ruben Sanamyan the title of National Hero.
