On 20 August the President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan received Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Andranik Kocharyan.
Harutyunyan noted that based on the principles of the common security system, it is very important to pursue a harmonious and mutually agreed policy in the two Armenian republics.
According to President Harutyunyan, the implementation of continuous reforms in the power structures is a vital requirement, and in that sense the active cooperation of the legislatures plays an important role.
Andranik Kocharyan thanked the President for the warm reception and stressed that there is the necessary will and readiness for the proper solution of the outlined issues.
During the meeting the interlocutors also exchanged views on regional developments in the military-political context, the challenges arising from them.
