We are not worried about the extension of the Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises. This is how the spokesperson of the RA Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan answered the question of "Sputnik Armenia" about the Turkish-Azerbaijani joint military exercise.
"Given that any international military exercise, in addition to the combat readiness component, also contains military-diplomatic, military-political messages, the news of the presence of a high-ranking Turkish military-political delegation makes the Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises worrying", Stepanyan however noted.
It became known today that the Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises launched on July 29 and scheduled until August 10, have been extended. Azerbaijani media reported that Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Chief of General Staff, Army General Yasar Guler, army commanders, other high-ranking officers arrived in Azerbaijan on August 12.
As part of the joint tactical and flight-tactical military exercises of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Land and Air Forces, the Turkish military delegation in an expanded format will follow the final episode of the first phase of the exercise.
