During the days of the epidemic many labor migrants faced problems due to entry and exit restrictions in different countries. The Armenian Migration Service and other government agencies have received numerous complaints, in particular, from labor migrants traveling to Russia.
In a conversation with 1lurer.am, Nelli Davtyan, Public Relations Officer of the RA Migration Service, mentioned that there is a certain misunderstanding among the public regarding the border restrictions. She stressed that the extension of the state of emergency in Armenia does not affect the exit of Armenian citizens in any way.
"The way out of the RA citizens is not restricted by Armenia, the extension of the state of emergency does not affect the permission of that way out. It is another matter that the host country, in this case the Russian Federation, imposes severe restrictions due to the epidemic. Armenian citizens are foreign citizens for Russia, and that country does not allow entry", said Nelli Davtyan.
She noted that there are certain target groups that can enter the Russia. For example, people who have the right of legal residence in the Russian Federation.
