Today on the agenda of the government sitting is the extension of the state of emergency declared on March 16 of this year.
The Prime Minister noted that in April, when the country was practically in a state of severe restrictions for about two months, it was reported that socio-economic problems were deepening, 50,000 jobs were cut in April.
"On the other hand we saw that no matter how seemingly certain anti-epidemic rules can be kept throughout the country, but, in particular, in less visible areas, the rules were not observed in any way", said the Prime Minister, emphasizing that when analyzing new cases, they came to the conclusion that it is impossible to solve this problem without the responsibility of the citizens.
The Prime Minister also said that it is impossible to control the anti-epidemic situation without the participation of citizens, and the task was set that the situation should be presented directly to the citizens, and the first responsibility of the government is to ensure that no citizen is left without proper medical care.
Pashinyan stressed - it should be noted that during that period the government did practically the impossible by deploying large health care facilities. "We have a chance to solve this problem radically", said the Prime Minister, noting that today, along with the decrease in numbers, there is a significant increase in the number of citizens fined for not wearing masks. And the problem now is to assess the situation correctly to avoid the second wave.
"As we go through this hell today, with 800 deaths from the coronavirus itself and 234 deaths for aother reasons among the infected, today we have a chance to be in a completely different situation this fall, no matter what happens in the world. That will be the case if we continue to implement the right strategy", said the Prime Minister, emphasizing the exclusive responsibility of wearing masks.
