The RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Francophonie Louise Mushikiwabo. The interlocutors exchanged views on ways to address the problems facing the organization in the Francophone region.
In this context Minister Mnatsakanyan and Secretary General Mushikiwabo touched upon the catastrophic situation in Lebanon following the powerful explosion in Beirut and the issues related to the provision of humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
Presenting the work carried out by the Armenian government to support the Lebanese people, Minister Mnatsakanyan stressed that as a country holding the presidency of the Francophonie Summit, Armenia considers the support of the Francophone family to the Lebanese people in overcoming the crisis to be very important.
