On the evening of August 8 an incident took place in Armenian-populated Akhalkalaki (Georgia), which turned into a large riot. According to
"Georgia Online", a group of young people broke the doors and windows of the hotel, after which a fire broke out. According to the source, the crowd set on fire to 4 houses and a hotel.
The exact causes of the riots are not reported but it is mentioned that the incident most likely happened after the murder of a young resident of the village in Kulikum.
The riots on Myasnikyan Street continue. There are victims and wounded. The employees of the special service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on the spot.
