During the government sitting, the Prime Minister noted that the epidemic situation caused by the coronavirus in Armenia continues to weaken, but the absolute number of cases detected on a daily basis remains high.
"Now we have some confidence that the detection of cases has improved. If in the past the new positive cases reached 25-30% of the daily examinations, now they fluctuate around 15%. It means that we have a significant increase in detection", Pashinyan.
He stressed that a certain change in tactics has been made. At the initiative of the Ministry of Health, diagnoses will be made among at-risk groups. Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan noted that in terms of detection it is recommended to keep the detected cases at such a level that they make up no more than 10% of the those tested.
"On our own initiative we study risk groups, for example, employees of supermarkets, factories, banks, district administrations. In the last few days, we have examined one of the mental health centers - 350 people at once. We have found there 25 positive cases that did not have any symptoms", said the minister.
