The coronavirus situation in Armenia continues to improve. On August 4, after June 4, the number of citizens receiving treatment is less than 8000, by all indicators we are at the level of early June. The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at today's briefing.
"However, these favorable developments have brought bad news. It is obvious to the naked eye that the citizens of Armenia have started to interpret the decline in numbers as a reason for not observing the anti-epidemic rules, many think that the coronavirus has been overcome. That, of course, is not the case. The epidemic situation remains hard. If our response is not appropriate, we can return to the situation of the first week of July, which was the peak of the epidemic in our country", Pashinyan said.
According to PM, the fight against the epidemic can be overcome as a result of cooperation between the Government and the citizens. "Citizens must respond to the calls of the government. Against the background of optimism, it is necessary to strictly follow the anti-epidemic rules. Wearing a mask in open and closed areas is mandatory, and administrative methods will continue to be used. We have a chance to overcome this situation, it depends on each of us", said the Prime Minister.
