The Territorial Development Fund of the Ministry of Territorial Administration of Armenia, with the investments of the RA Government is carrying out works to improve the water supply networks. Two of the projects are nearing completion.
In Nigavan settlement of Aparan enlarged community of Aragatsotn region, with the co-financing of 70 million 600 thousand drams of the government (and 1 million 50 thousand drams of community) a pumping station-water pipeline was built from where the water is pumped to Nigavan, the daily regulating reservoir. As a result of the program, drinking water will reach 120 farms in Nigavan settlement of Aparan enlarged community.
Until now, they have received drinking water from an outdoor lake in Nigavan. The aim of the project is to significantly improve the quality of water supplied to residents.
More than 86 million drams have been allocated from the state budget for the construction of a deep well, pumping station and water pipe in Sarigyugh community of Tavush region, due to which drinking water will reach 360 households. Until now, there was one tap in each district of this community. After the successful completion of the project, residents will receive drinking water in their homes.
Works in both settlements will be completed this year. Both projects for the construction of drinking water lines are managed by the By the Ministry of Territorial Administration.
