On August 3, the RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan had a telephone conversation with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Lebanon, Deputy Prime Minister Zeina Akar.
The RA Minister of Defense congratulated his counterpart on the 75th anniversary of the Lebanese Armed Forces.
The interlocutors discussed the epidemic situation in the armed forces of the two countries, exchanged views on additional opportunities for cooperation.
Zeina Akar stressed the importance of the participation of the RA Armed Forces in the UN UNIFIL mission in Lebanon, in response to which the RA Minister of Defense reaffirmed the determination of the Armenian side to continue it.
Davit Tonoyan and Zeina Akar also touched upon regional military-political developments and the need to expand and deepen military cooperation within the framework of bilateral agreements.
