The RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan paid a working visit to Artsakh on July 30-31 within the framework of the existing program of mutual cooperation and coordination of actions between the military departments of the two Armenian republics. The Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan wrote about it on her Facebook page.
"Accompanied by Artsakh Defense Minister, Commander of the Defense Army, Major General Jalal Harutyunyan, the RA Defense Minister visited a number of military units and subdivisions of the Defense Army, got acquainted with the social and living conditions and service-related issues that need to be resolved.
Minister Tonoyan also paid special attention to the latest weapons and modernized technical means introduced in the Defense Army and the ongoing works.
The heads of the military departments of the two Armenian republics visited various military and rear facilities of the Defense Army located in the eastern direction, where they referred to the current and possible regional developments, the challenges facing the two Armenian states, and in that context, the systemic tasks in front of the departments.
Answering the journalist's question Davit Tonoyan touched upon the harsh rhetoric of the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan, in particular, the statement of the President of Azerbaijan "liberate our territories before it is too late", noting that the Armenian side does not understand - when it is too late.
Regarding the constant statements of the Minister of Defense of that country as if they wait for the relevant order of the President, Tonoyan said that the Armenian army is also waiting for an order", the Defense Ministry spokeswoman reported.
