Today the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the project of planting 10 million trees in Armenia this year, which, according to him, could not be implemented due to the coronavirus.
"But we must definitely implement that idea. I hope next year. Let me say that now we are completing Armenia's transformation strategy until 2050, where we have set as a task the doubling of Armenia's forested areas by 2050," said Pashinyan.
It should be noted that the "10 million trees" initiative envisaged to complete until the end of 2020, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Ministry of Environment postponed the deadline.
