The Armenian economy, which has experienced some decline because of restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus epidemic, has begun to activate.
Although the economic activity index decreased by 4.7% in the first half of the year, however, it has registered an increase in the last two months. According to the Statistical Committee the economic activity index in May increased by 13.3% compared to April, and in June - by 14.8% compared to May.
The volume of industrial production increased by 6.3% in June compared to May, the volume of construction by 21.6%, the trade turnover by 14.3%, the foreign trade turnover by 13.7%. The export increased by 14.7% and the import by 13.1%.
