In an interview with the Russian RBC TV channel, the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the myth of the "mighty" army, presented to the public by the Azerbaijani authorities for 15 years. That myth completely collapsed during the recent events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border by the really strong counterattack.
"For 15 years, the President of Azerbaijan has been developing military rhetoric that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved by force. On several occasions I have advised him not to speak threatening language to us, as this will not work.
The line of the policy of the President of Azerbaijan is that Azerbaijan has a strong army, if necessary, it will resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within 24 hours.
And they have been weaving this myth for 15 years. Why are they so upset about the recent events, because that myth has been completely shattered?
The Armenian Armed Forces counterattacked in such a way that no one expected, many did not expect such a thing even in Armenia. It turned out that the reforms that have taken place in Armenia over the past two years, particularly in the armed forces, have been effective", said the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
