On July 28, The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Onik Gasparyan received the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Lynne Tracy and the Military Attache of the Embassy, Colonel Scott Maxwell.
During the meeting, they touched upon the issues related to the Armenian-American bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, to the implemented programs, as well as the increase of tension registered on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border since July 12, the current situation in the border zone.
The parties also discussed further cooperation programs and outlined other issues of mutual interest.
