The RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Germany Ashot Smbatyan in a post on Facebook called for restraint, not to participate in any unauthorized protest, not to spread materials containing aggressive content and comments.
According to him, there are cases of violence against Armenian embassies, members of Armenian communities, damage or destruction of property. The official car of the RA Embassy in the FRG was set on fire.
"Taking into account the situation, sharing the anxiety of each of you, please be extremely vigilant, do not give in to any provocation. Please, I urge you not to take part in any initiative or protest that has not been authorized by the German authorities, which may contribute to the escalation. That is the goal of the provocateurs.
Please do not spread aggressive comments on social media. In this situation we must be as balanced and vigilant as possible and combine the efforts of all of us in the unwavering work of strengthening our homeland.
Our common task is to act within the framework of the legislation of the Federal Republic of Germany", Smbatyan wrote.
