On July 27 the Jordanian ambassador to Azerbaijan was summoned to the Foreign Ministry for information on the supply of weapons to Armenia, RIA Novosti reported, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
According to the source, Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov and Ambassador Sami Abdullah Gosheh met. Among other issues, the parties also discussed the issue of arms supplies to Armenia. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan noted that this information caused dissatisfaction among the public.
The Jordanian ambassador said he "understands the concerns of the Azerbaijani side" and promised to make efforts to resolve the situation.
