The clergy of the Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church have issued a statement on the events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and their impact on Diaspora communities.
As AnalitikaUA.net reports, the message, in particular, reads:
"Dear believers,
The recent painful developments on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border are having a tense impact on some Armenian Diaspora communities.
In this situation no community is safe from various provocations.
Confident of the prudence and spiritual endurance of our compatriots, we call to refrain from emotional outbursts and decisions, not give in to provocations and deception.
We pray that Almighty God will keep our armenian children in peace, as well as our national structures in Ukraine”.
Earlier the Union of Armenians of Ukraine issued a statement condemning the attempt to involve the community in political processes.
