The RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Vardan Toghanyan appealed to Armenians living in Russia. The ambassador noted that they are in touch with all the representatives of the community, assessing the situation, from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka, in the Armenian-populated Moscow and other regions.
"The situation is explosive in a sense, we understand that there is a different situation on social networks, different emotions, opinions are discussed, people are worried about the local situation. What is happening in cafes, enterprises, shops belonging to our Armenian businessmen is, of course, dangerous, of course it worries us.
The situation is manageable, we are in touch with all our partners, with all the Russian security services. I urge you not to give in to provocations.
Please, be even more peace-loving this weekend, do not respond to provocations, to organized geopolitical provocations, aimed at inciting ethnic tension, which aim to present us as a people sowing enmity", the ambassador said, asking to remain calm and always be in touch with the embassy.
