The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke live on Facebook about the situation with the coronavirus epidemic in the country. The PM stated that for the first time since June 14, the number of active cases of coronavirus is less than 10 thousand.
"This is very important news. There is reason to believe that we not only have entered the phase of overcoming the coronavirus crisis, but we can have better resilience to a possible second global wave in the fall. I noticed that against the background of this news, the anti-epidemic PR campaign has intensified again, because I see that anti-mask movements are starting again.
I want to make it clear that we have a small decrease in the rate of infection due to the observance of anti-epidemic rules, the culmination of which is the wearing of masks. No matter how unpleasant this is for us, it is obvious that we have this dynamic mainly due to having a certain order of wearing a mask", said the Prime Minister, continuing:
"Please do not pay attentiom to irresponsible statements. My call is to unite more and more in this issue, to be ready for the second wave, do not weaken vigilance. About 700 people have already died of coronavirus in our country. And this is a terrible statistic", said the Prime Minister.
He stressed that only by wearing masks, frequent hand washing and disinfection, maintaining social distance, we will be able to reduce the number of daily cases of the virus that has caused us so much inconvenience until complete overcoming.
