Today the RA President Armen Sargsyan visited the Elbakyan's family living in Marmashen community of Shirak region. Their son, Captain of the Armenian Armed Forces Sos Elbakyan, was killed a few days ago in the Tavush section of the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border as a result of hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan.
The President expressed his deep condolences to Captain Elbakyan's parents, noting that their son had sacrificed his young life, selflessly defending the homeland's border, peace and security for all of us.
The President also thanked Captain Sos Elbakyan's parents for raising such a brave and patriotic son. "I bow to his immortal memory. His heroism is immortal", said Armen Sargsyan, noting that we are all proud of our army and its brave soldiers.
In Marmashen Monastery, the President Sargsyan lit a candle in memory of Captain Sos Elbakyan, in memoryall of our servicemen who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland.
