The Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles has issued a statement strongly condemning the provocations of the Azerbaijani side, VOA reports.
"The Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles strongly condemns the provocations of the Azerbaijanis in front of the Consulate of Azerbaijan.
Given the sequence of events it is clear that disrupting the peaceful protest of the Armenian community was pre-planned and organized.
"The Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles considers the violence against peaceful demonstrators unacceptable", the statement reads.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Leyla Abdullayeva said that 7 Azeris were injured during a rally in Los Angeles yesterday. The Azerbaijani ambassador to the United States was summoned to the Foreign Ministry in connection with the incident.
