Today the RA President Armen Sargsyan hosted a team of German medical workers, who are in Armenia to help their Armenian counterparts in the fight against coronavirus. The press office of the RA President informs about this.
The RA First Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the Federal Republic of Germany Ashot Smbatyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia Michael Banzhaf also took part in the meeting.
The President Sargsyan thanked the medical staff for their mission, noting that the pandemic is a global tragedy, and there is only one way to overcome it: to fight the pandemic globally.
Sargsyan invited everyone to visit Armenia with their family and friends after the pandemic. "I want You to take with You the love and appreciation that you will see in Armenia and preserve the friendship between Armenia and Germany", the RA President said.
German Ambassador to Armenia Michael Banzhaf thanked for the hospitality and noted that Germany considers the pandemic as a global challenge, and their team is here to support the efforts to overcome it. According to the ambassador, this visit will also contribute to the establishment of long-term cooperation in the medical field between the two countries.
