The RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan received the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic og Greece in Armenia Dimitros Felopoulos and the military attaché of the Greek Embassy Colonel Dimostenis Simayakis.
During the meeting the current state and achievements of the Armenian-Greek bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, the further development of the cooperation were discussed. The Greek side confirmed the continuation of military education and Greek language training programs.
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan stressed the importance of holding military-political consultations and expressed hope that the already planned events will be implemented in the near future.
On the occasion of the completion of his mission in Armenia, Tonoyan thanked the Military Attache, Colonel Dimostenis Simayakis for his significant contribution to the development of the Armenian-Greek defense cooperation during his tenure and awarded the Attache with the Medal for Military Cooperation.
Issues related to regional security were also discussed. The RA Minister of Defense presented the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
