The RA Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan answered the question of Interfax agency in connection with the statements of the Azerbaijani leadership on the negotiation process.
Question - How would you comment on the recent statements of the Azerbaijani leadership on the peace process?
Answer - The conflict has three parties that have signed a ceasefire agreement.
Previously, Azerbaijan negotiated with both Nagorno-Karabakh and the Republic of Armenia. Then Azerbaijan refused to negotiate with Nagorno-Karabakh. If Azerbaijan now refuses to negotiate with Armenia, it is not clear with whom it will negotiate over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We do not know whether he intends to resume his talks with the Artsakh side or not.
Recently Azerbaijan has been trying to come up with war threats under different veils. If his threat to withdraw from the talks is one of them, it neither surprises nor impresses us.
Armenia rejects the language of threat and stands for a peaceful settlement.
