On July 16, the RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia.
During the meeting Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed the ambassadors on the situation created by the ongoing aggressive actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the north-eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The Foreign Minister stressed the resumption of hostilities on July 16 by Azerbaijan in violation of the earlier agreement on the cessation of hostilities in the direction of the RA state border in the villages of Movses, Aygepar, Tavush region. According to the Minister, these actions of the Azerbaijani side were accompanied by deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure and population.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the need for full restoration, maintenance and strengthening of the ceasefire agreement reached in 1994.
In the context of maintaining regional security and stability, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan condemned the statements made by the Turkish military-political leadership, which aimed at undermining the security system in the region and are open support for Azerbaijan's aggressive actions.
