The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the Yerablur military pantheon attended the funeral of Major Garush Hambardzumyan, who was killed by enemy fire in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
"Having a homeland and a state is a responsibility. A responsibility that falls on the shoulders of the people, the society".
"We have gathered here to announce that Major of the RA Armed Forces, RA citizen Garush Hambardzumyan, the RA Armed Forces Captain, RA citizen Sos Elbakyan, the RA Armed Forces Junior Sergeant, RA citizen Smbat Gabrielyan, the RA Armed Forces Junior Sergeant, RA citizen Grisha Matevosyan fully took their share of responsibility to have a homeland, a state, putting on the altar of that responsibility the most precious thing a person has.
They put their lives on the altar of the homeland-state, not only themselves, but also the lives of their family members and relatives, because their lives will no longer be as before, they will live with this stifling absence", the Prime Minister said in part in his speech.
