The Kremlin is deeply concerned about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and calls on the parties to manifest restraint and cease fire.
The statement came from Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported.
"We have already stated this at various levels - Russia, being a member of the Minsk Group, is ready to make mediation efforts for a settlement. You know that there were active telephone contacts between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his colleagues from Baku and Yerevan. Once again we call on both sides to show restraint", Peskov said.
