At the government sitting the RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan reported to the Prime Minister that after the armed incident on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border yesterday the shelling was resumed every 15-20 minutes with the use of different caliber artillery. The break was at night, from 3:30 to 5:30, the minister said.
According to Tonoyan all the shelling is targeted, sniper is firing, and all those are silenced. As a result the enemy has significant losses. The RA Armed Forces continues to protect the border, the operative situation is completely under control.
After Tonoyan presented the situation the Prime Minister asked him - if the impression was true that the Azeri soldiers had gone astray, then left the car after the warning of the Armenian soldiers, is it possible that their further actions are due to the desire to return the car?. Tonoyan answered. "If there was such a desire they would get in touch at some point, an agreement would be reached not to shoot, so that the car could be returned, but the shelling started immediately".
