Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan is in constant contact with Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan wrote on her Facebook page.
"During the last conversation the Minister of Defense informed that the personnel and command of the Armenian army are still instructed to remain restrained, and in case of provocations of the enemy in the direction of the RA borders, to respond as needed, even to occupy new favorable positions", she wrote.
Earlier Shushan Stepanyan wrote that the Armenian armed forces do not fire in the direction of Azerbaijani settlements. Only the engineering infrastructure and technical means of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are targeted. She informed that the shootings continue with different intensity. The Armenian Armed Forces have no casualties. All attempts of the opponent are targeted and neutralized.
On July 12 Stepanyan informed that the servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces at around 12:30 tried to cross the RA state border in the direction of Tavush. At 13:45 the servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces repeated the attempt to occupy the Armenian border position, using artillery fire, but were suppressed by the Armenian side, suffered losses and being thrown back.
