Today the RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan said that coronavirus vaccines and medicines are widely being developed and tested all over the world.
The Minister said that they had bought a batch of "Remdesivir" medicine, which will be in Armenia in 10 days. Negotiations are underway to buy a batch of Russian "Avifavir", also got a Japanese "Favipiravir" the use of which will begin soon.
"About 200 vaccines are currently being developed around the world about 20 of which have a high chance of a final outcome. Public health experts believe that there will be a vaccine anyway, and that belief is important.
"Countries are discussing the purchase of future, final approved vaccines, and the Moderna vaccine is one of them, one of the most likely final products," Torosyan said. He also noted that vaccines are the safest medical intervention ever discovered in human history.
