The RA Deputy Prime Minister, Commandant in charge of state of emergency Tigran Avinyan made a post on his Facebook page.
"From the very beginning of the coronavirus epidemic one of the most important tasks of the government was to mobilize the health care system and expand its capacity. A few important indicators in this regard.
In the initial phase instead of up to 300 tests per day for the detection of coronavirus disease up to 1000 tests were conducted in May, and in June, due to further development of capacity, the number of tests doubled to more than 2,000 tests per day. So far, 120245 tests of coronavirus have been conducted in Armenia.
Using raw materials transported from China by Commandant office, the Institute of Molecular Biology has begun producing coronavirus diagnostic tests. 5,500 tests have already been handed to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health. In total it is planned to produce 100,000 Armenian tests at this stage.
More than 2,500 beds have been set up since March to receive those infected with coronavirus. About 290 of these beds - for resuscitation. Medical care is provided in 19 medical organizations 7 of which are in the regions and 12 in Yerevan. 15935 people have recovered from coronavirus disease so far", wrote Avinyan in part.
