In the evening of July 2, the RA President Armen Sargsyan had a telephone conversation with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Sargsyan warmly congratulated his Belarusian counterpart on the occasion of the country's national Holiday, July 3, the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.
The Armenian President highly assessed the developing effective cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres. Armen Sargsyan described imortant Belarus' experience in a number of high-tech and other sectors of the economy. The Presidents exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation and the implementation of joint programs.
The RA President expressed his gratitude to Alexander Lukashenko for his assistance in providing land for the construction of an Armenian church in Minsk.
