Today's government session began with describing the pandemic situation by minister Torosyan. The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan asked the Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan to present the new cases and the situation registered in the country in connection with the epidemic.
As of yesterday 593 new cases had been registered, 2,100 tests had been performed, 6 had died, 4 had died for other reasons, 473 people had recovered, the minister said.
"In terms of medical capacity the situation is almost the same. In other words, the resuscitation departments are practically full, there are 1-2 vacant beds in MCs, and thanks to them we are able to accommodate the citizens who are in a hard and extremely hard condition, the number of which today is about 650, 44 people have artificial lung ventilation", Torosyan said.
The Minister added that today he will visit the Spitak and Martuni MCs, which have been re-profiled and will be equipped with the necessary oxygen devises.
"Currently, the number of people waiting for medical care is 11 of which 4 are moderate, 7 are light, and about 80 people are waiting to be transported to hospitals that treat coronavirus disease. The situation is relatively stable in this regard. I think we should continue in the same way", said Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.
