Today the RA President Armen Sargsyan hosted a group of Lithuanian medical workers in Armenia who came to assist their Armenian counterparts in the fight against the coronavirus. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Armenia, the Charge d'Affaires of Sweden in Armenia, as well as the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
President Sargsyan welcomed and thanked the doctors for helping. "On behalf of the citizens of Armenia and Armenians around the world I would like to thank you for all that you are doing, endangering your life and health for the sake of helping us", the President told doctors, adding: "Thanks to the Lithuanian government and the President Gitanas Nauseda, a friend of mine, with whom we recently had an honest video chat. I appreciate this support".
The EU Ambassador Andrea Victorin also thanked the doctors for visiting Armenia, considering the support of the EU member states during the pandemic important.
