The chairman of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio sent a reply letter to the former chairman of the RA Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan, where, in particular, it is mentioned:
"Thank you for your letter of 25 June 2020. I have been following closely the developments in Armenia concerning the constitutional amendments. I regret that they are not in line with the clear recommendations of the Venice Commission. I cannot but recall the need to respect the Constitution. This is a basic requirement of the principle of the rule of law".
It should be noted that according to the RA Ministry of Justice, everything is fully agreed with the Venice Commission.
