At the Government sitting the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the 50 thousand jobs restored or opened in May and 70 thousand - closed in April.
The Prime Minister stated that about 20,000 workers had lost their jobs during this period and the government decided to provide assistance to those people. Pashinyan noted that the support will be provided in the amount of the minimum wage.
"In April we looked into the current situation and found that the economy was collapsing. And no matter how difficult it was we decided to go in eliminating and reducing certain economic restrictions. If that decision had not been made we would probably have doubled this statistic. Maybe by the end of May, not 70 thousand, but 100-150 thousand jobs would have been closed.
In this regard I consider it very important that we will be able not to go to lockdown, because it shows that tens of thousands of people are being laid off with social, economic and other consequences of that", said the Prime Minister.
The bad news is that people who did not wear masks even after being fined, now ther are cases of infection among them, the PM aded.
