In a briefing with journalists Alvina Gyulumyan a member of the Constitutional Court said that the bill adopted by the parliament did not affect her.
She also mentioned the advisory opinion of the Venice Commission, in which, according to her, there are points that the ruling political force has not followed.
However Gyulumyan refused to comment on the project. She noted that CC judges can challenge the issue by exhausting domestic measures and then going to the European Court of Human Rights.
Yesterday during a special session the parliament adopted the draft constitutional amendments, according to which the term of office of three members of the Constitutional Court will be terminated. Hrayr Tovmasyan will continue to serve as a member of the Constitutional Court, the four members of the Constitutional Court will continue to hold office.
