"The court found the actual accusation well-founded, and the arrest, as a measure of restraint, in my assumptions, was not chosen due to Mr. Tsarukyan's age and the presence of a coronavirus in Armenia. Maybe they were the reason for the judge", NA Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan said at the briefing with journalists.
He stressed. "The court did not acquit Gagik Tsarukyan and did not say that the accusations made in the National Assembly were unfounded. The decision refers only to the measure of restraint, which, according to the prosecutor's office, will be appealed".
