After the sitting of the "My Step" faction, the NA Vice Speaker Alen Simonyan, during the briefing with the journalists, touching upon the possibility of signing a memorandum of the opposition forces, described ruling party's position in one word - indifference.
"By the way the same people have signed memorandums for 30 years. "Dashnaktsutyun", "Prosperous Armenia", etc. Again such processes have started. We are completely indifferent to this issue", Simonyan said.
He also said that during the sitting the Prime Minister made a speech. According to Simonyan the current situation, internal political issues, the work of their faction were discussed during the sitting.
Referring to the draft constitutional amendments the NA Vice Speaker said that on Monday or Tuesday there will be an opinion of the Venice Commission. He stressed that developments bring different solutions in different periods.
Answering to the question of whether the authorities are concerned that Robert Kocharyan has been released from custody, Simonyan said - no, but the authorities are concerned about the anger of the people.
"We are being informed about court decisions together with everyone. That is, when they become public. We do not catch or release anyone. It is not a political decision and such a thing cannot happen in Armenia", Simonyan stressed, adding that the legal process continues.
