"The epidemic situation remains tense", said RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during today's briefing. According to him the biggest task is still the discipline of wearing masks.
The Prime Minister informed that decisions have been made on this issue which should be implemented from tomorrow.
"It will be mandatory for the RA citizens to have an identity document. We are talking about a passport, an identification card or a driver's license. This decision was made because in many cases, when there is a question of initiating administrative proceedings on the street for violating the rules of wearing a mask, and citizens do not have a document, the effectiveness of the process is seriously being harmed.
In this case according to the legislation on administrative offenses, not carrying a passport and violating the rules of wearing a mask will be viewd as separate offenses. Each will be fined - 10 thousand drams for not wearing a mask and 10 thousand drams for not having an identity document. "We will significantly increase administrative control over the discipline of wearing masks", said the PM.
According to him, the mandatory condition of wearing gloves has been removed. The PM said that this is due to new datas about the coronavirus, because experience shows that gloves accumulate certain substances very quickly, and it is better to focus on disinfecting hands.
